My First Giveaway!!!!
I'm so excited because I've been wanting to do a giveaway to thank y'all for stalking my little blog. It's brought me a lot of joy, and you are all the best stalkers a girl could ever hope for.
So, here's the deal...
Just put a comment on the blog, or on my Stirring It Up Facebook page, and tell me the answer to this morbid question. If you were offered your final meal, what would you choose?
Why am I asking something so creepy and weird?
Well, I just finished reading The Hunger Games and I LOVED IT! So, I'm thinking about death, and eating. Yeah, I know this proves I have psychological issues, but you'll just have to get over it, cause I'm never gonna be normal!
If you're too shy to share your last meal request, just write something. Anything. And you'll still be entered in the contest.
Here are the rules...
I feel so powerful being able to make up rules.
If you post on my Facebook page you will get your name entered into the contest once.
If you post on my blog under this post, you will get your name entered twice.
And if you post on both, you'll have three entries, but no more than three to a customer, please.
Whadda ya win if I draw your name?
A fresh baked batch of my Almond Joy Cookies. Sorry, it's true, I've been holding out on you. I have a cookie recipe that I haven't shared, and I'm gonna make it for the winner. And, I'm also going to give them the recipe.
This is probably my most famous and beloved cookie recipe. I used to sell these cookies (it's a long story for another time, picture me pulling a cooler through the business districts of Oceanside...it wasn't pretty) and one guy that I sold them to called me the "crack dealer" because every time I would walk through his front door he just had to buy these cookies, just as if he were addicted to crack. He simply couldn't resist.
Only those in the good ol' US of A qualify for this giveaway because I'm not made of money, people. Shipping to Uzbekistan could break a girl!
The contest ends Thursday at 9:00 pm PST. I'll announce the winner on Friday.
(This contest will be handled in a VERY scientific manner, much like the Academy Awards and American Idol.) We will hand write your names on slips of paper and The Spy Who Loves Me will draw out the winner. If you've got a problem with that, then don't enter. Besides, I'm trustworthy. And The Spy Who Loves Me has a Top Secret Security Clearance. He's not allowed to lie and cheat, except at cards, and we can't hold that against him because it's the only way the poor man can win!
Good luck, everybody! May the best Cookie Monster win!
My last meal would be an expensive steak, restuffed baked potato, Gulliver's creamed corn, green beans w/almonds, garlic bread, and a cream filled eclair. (Can you tell I've been on a diet for 3 months?)
ReplyDeleteThai salad from Cheesecake factory (small version) as a starter, then a Ruth's Chris fillet and red skin mashed potatoes from Crazy Horse. For the grand finale - Mocha cheesecake.
ReplyDeletemy last meal would be chocolate,in any shape, or form, solid or liquid hot, cold, warm, or any where in between, I'd wrap it up with a cannoli, and lots of ice cold milk.
ReplyDeleteMy last meal would be Thanksgiving - amazing food courtesy of Mom. Might be able to bribe myself into Heaven with the leftovers too.
ReplyDeleteAlaskan King crabs legs, baked potato with butter, sour cream and chives, fresh hot sourdough bread with lots of real butter and strawberry cheesecake (yummy)
ReplyDeleteOooo, Last meal. So I don't have to worry about regretting it the next day... yes!!! K, I would start with my Grandma's German pancakes topped with cooked strawberries, then have some Chicken Bellagio from Cheesecake Factory, with garlic cheese bread. And for dessert I would have pretty much anything from Extraordinary Desserts.. but I'd probably go with the triple chocolate mousse torte. Mmmmm......
ReplyDeleteHmmmmmmmm. I have no idea. I think I would probably go for amazing Chinese food. But, I'm not certain. btw, if I win, we are mailing the cookies to Eric!!!!! :-)
ReplyDeleteI would, with out a doubt want my grandmas Roast and mash potatoes and gravy. the best you will ever have. Im sure you can cook a mean roast and mashed potatoes too!!!
ReplyDeleteWell, since I'm an hard core weight watcher right now I really have a hard time seperating my points from my desires. I love eating vegetarian too. So it would have to be a healthy choice, I know pitiful huh?!?!
ReplyDeletePain perdue from Mimi's, coconut shrimp, my mom's pea salad, stuffed mushrooms, french onion soup, garlic smashed red potatoes, beef medallions with asparagus, crab and bearnaise, creme brulee, chcolate decadence cake and chocolate charlotte from Spain! Mmmmm! But I'll settle for the cookies!
ReplyDeleteThis is a hard one . . . too much good food to choose from. So my last meal would probably have to be a nice filet mignon, baked potato loaded (butter, sour cream, cheese, bacon & chives) roasted asparagus, my grandma's home made rolls, Apple crisp warm with vanilla ice cream! Yummy
ReplyDeleteMexican for sure, who cares if I go out with heartburn. AND then some very delicious warm chocolate chip cookies (probably your recipe)with blue bell icecream
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely start with chips and salsa, and then whatever Mexican dish I could stuff inside me. I have to go out with chips and salsa... The chips have to be warm and the salsa to die for!! An ice cream shake for desert.
ReplyDeleteIt would be "TO DIE FOR" BAR-B-QUE!!!!
ReplyDeletePulled Pork and Beef Brisket slathered in Bar-b-que sauce, with sweet cornbread and honey butter, yummy baked beans, sweet potato fries, and coleslaw...washed down with a tall glass of Diet Coke with a squeeze of lime, finished off with a "Chocolate Molten" from Chili's....(this was kinda mean though, you have me write this heavenly meal down and then I am left to sit here thinking about it as I heat my frozen weight watcher's meal up in the micro)....but I will do it for yummy cookies : )
A big pile of shrimp, a big pile of crab, lots of vegetables, and probably brownie trifle for dessert.
ReplyDeleteA giant piece of lasagna, fresh bread with olive oil and balsamic, Dominico's house salad, and a piece of new york style cheesecake for dessert! yummmm!
ReplyDeleteFor my Last meal on this Earth: I would like for you(Pam)to surprise me with anything you want, cuz at that point it's not going to matter to much what it is. But it has to be baked by you. And a large plate of your Chocolate Chip Cookies with a glass of milk would be good.
ReplyDeleteMy last meal would be YOUR crockpot lasagna, garlic bread with cheese, and a huge salad with lots of cherry tomatoes. How about some lemonade to top it off. I LOVE THIS BLOG!!! My mom and I read it constantly. I've made lots of your recipes already and they've all been fantastic. We made crockpot lasagna last night when we had the missionaries over and it was a hit! Yay for cooking blogs!!
ReplyDeleteOh my, this is VERY hard. I think the Chicken Madeira from Cheesecake Factory, followed by Costco chocolate cake, Otis Spunk S'more Cookies and the Molten Lava Cake with fresh mint ice cream from my honeymoon in Tahiti. Add a tall glass of milk and throw in a diet Coke and call it good.
ReplyDeleteI would have to have pupusas for my last meal followed by cheesecake for dessert.

ReplyDeleteSam would cook it with me...he makes A-mazing sushi (ahi, green onions, jicama & mango) and broccoli stir fried in bacon grease w/ slivered garlic and almonds and a filet to rival Ruth's Cris...NO LIE! Finaly, pecan pie from the Court of Two Sister's in New Orleans.
